Dear friends and supporters,
Our book is now available, we finished it just in time for the 20th anniversary of one world foundation. We are very happy about the result and we would like to express our deepest gratitude to all donors, authors, photographers and other supporters, who made this book possible! On Thursday, 24 September at 6 pm the book will be presented at the wine bar Unger & Klein (Gölsdorfgasse 2, 1010 Vienna). The evening will include a reading by Robert Menasse and Doron Rabinovici.
In Sri Lanka the book was already presented during the festivities of the anniversary on 27 August. The celebration at the school of one world foundation was an impressive event thanks to the enormous efforts of the pupils, parents and teachers. Besides of the exhibitions in the computer class, the Women’s Cooperation and the photo class the rich and extensive programme included dancing and music performances, speaches, distribution of certificates and awards, a fashion show and much more. On our webpage you’ll find some impressions (Archive of Current News, 1 September 2015).
Within our artist in residence programme curated by Galerie Krinzinger, the artist Peter Sandbichler spent five weeks at one world foundation. At the end of his productive stay he presented his new works in an exhibition, that opened on 29 August at Bogenvillya. His sculptures, which were primarily made from wood left a lasting impression due to their extraordinary combination of calm sensuality and complex simplicity.
